Matt's title: "DIVINE LIKE A KING"
I met Matt during sessions while I modeled for a sculpture class at Orange Coast College here in southern California. Below are a series of views of a statue done by Matt in late 1999, for which I was honored to be the subject. By using clay sheets in a wrapping technique, Matt captured volume while having a hollow sculpture.
Matt's greater work is found in wonderful images of fantasy. Matt's own words about art: "never had a professional career at it. still learning in college. i spend more time drawing than sculpting. im a huge sports fan. very wired to the computer. taking classes at occ and taking some at cypress. my aol screen name is nhlredwingsfan. voice mail box is (714) 507 3803 4502. *you should hear some hockey town theme song playing on it* "
